CelebTV.com has confirmed former O.C. actress, Mischa Barton, was arrested for a DUI early Thursday morning.
Sgt. Reilly of the West Hollywood Sheriff Department said, "This is an ongoing investigation. She's been detained for DUI and possible narcotics."
The investigation, according to Reilly, will determine if the narcotics belonged to the owner of the vehicle -- which is reportedly Barton's mother.
Police could not confirm if she was with anyone, although it did not "appear that she was, she's the only one that is in custody."
There is also question about whether the actress was driving without a valid license.
Barton was pulled over early Thursday morning around 3 a.m. as she was driving in West Hollywood, Calif. She remains in custody and is being held on $10,000 bail.
